We are students
from Westgate
High School in New Iberia,
Louisiana, who are committed to reducing
violence in our
community. Our primary goal is to change students' attitudes
toward violence.
It is never a solution in any form. It only
creates a perpetual cycle of aggression
and tension.
We
suggest discussion and mediation as better ways to resolve
our problems.

New Iberia, LA! These
students live life to the fullest by playing sports, listening to
music, and participating in every school activity imaginable! They
love their friends
and family, but also reach out to others in their
community. From their
contributions at the Institute, it is clear
that they have a lot to offer and will be
great mentors to other youth.
